May 21, 2026
The 2026 ISA Tennis representative season delivered a strong display of talent, sportsmanship and development, with student-athletes competing across trials, representative fixtures, and NSWCIS pathways.
Representative Program
A strong squad of 12 players (plus reserves) was selected to represent ISA in the inter-association fixtures against CAS and GPS. The team featured a mix of experienced senior students and emerging talent, reflecting the depth across ISA schools.
ISA’s #1 ranked player, Izaak S (St Stanislaus’ College), led the team, supported by a strong contingent from Oakhill College and St Pius X College
NSWCIS Pathway
Several ISA athletes progressed to NSWCIS Trials, including:
- 6 boys representing multiple ISA schools
- 2 girls competing in the girls’ trials
While no ISA athletes were ultimately selected in NSWCIS, the experience provided valuable exposure and highlighted the competitiveness of the pathway at this level.

Representative Fixtures – ISA vs CAS vs GPS
The annual inter-association fixture was hosted by CAS at The King’s School, featuring a revised format:
- 12 players per association
- Each player competing in multiple singles matches
- Matches played as two sets, with a super tiebreaker if required
Unfortunately, the day was heavily impacted by weather interruptions, limiting the completion of matches. Despite this, several ISA players achieved strong results:
- Sidney B (#5)
- Ilya K (#7)
- Marina T (#11)
All recorded match wins via super tiebreakers, demonstrating resilience in challenging conditions.
A key positive from this year’s fixture was the successful integration of UTR ranking recognition, allowing match results to contribute to players’ official rankings—an important step forward for the competition.
Acknowledgements
ISA extends its thanks to all players, coaches, selectors and team management staff for their commitment throughout the season. Special appreciation is extended to:
- The King’s School for hosting fixtures
- Oakhill College for providing training facilities
The 2026 season has provided a solid foundation for continued growth, and ISA looks forward to building on this progress in the years ahead.
