2025/26 ISA Summer Season Finals

Boys and Girls Basketball

The ISA Basketball season reached its spectacular conclusion over two consecutive Saturdays, with the Semi Finals on 28 February and the Grand Finals on 7 March, all hosted at the Penrith Valley Regional Sports Centre. Both Boys and Girls teams delivered intensity, teamwork, and school pride in a showcase of outstanding competition.

Boys Competitions

Opens Division 1 – St Augustine’s College 1st V secured the Opens Division 1 Championship with a strong 80–68 win over Redlands 1st V, displaying speed, discipline, and impressive shooting accuracy. Congratulations to Redlands who made waves in their Semi Final defeating Oakhill College to make the Final, which has traditionally been contested by both St Augustine’s College and Oakhill College for the last 10+ years.

Opens Division 2 – St Andrew’s Cathedral School 1st V edged out St Augustine’s College 2nd V in a thrilling 65–64 finish, one of the closest games of the day, decided in the final seconds

Opens Division 3 – Oxley College 1st V delivered a commanding 77–47 victory over St Augustine’s College 3rd V, using defensive pressure to break open the match and clinch back to back titles.

Girls Competitions

Opens Division 1 – Barker College 1st V claimed the title with an strong 97–45 victory over Oakhill College 1st V, demonstrating dominance at both ends of the court. Barker continue to showcase their talent across their program as they continue their reign in Division 1.

Opens Division 2 – Chevalier College 1st V lifted the Opens Division 2 shield following a composed 30–23 win over Blue Mountains Grammar 1st V, controlling tempo and capitalising on key moments. Blue Mountains never gave up, and pushed through to the final whistle.

Boys and Girls Touch Football

The ISA Touch Football season wrapped up with an energetic two‑weekend finals series at the Macquarie University Playing Fields. Despite wet‑weather disruptions, the ISA community adapted brilliantly – reshaping schedules and ensuring games could proceed safely. Everyone’s flexibility and teamwork made for an exciting, spirit‑filled finish to the 2025/26 season.

Boys Competitions

Opens Division 1 – Oakhill College 1sts claimed the title with a strong 10–7 win over St Augustine’s College 1sts, showing control, pace, and clinical execution in attack.

Opens Division 2 – Redlands 1sts took out the Division 2 title with an impressive 15–8 performance over St Augustine’s College 3rds, controlling the game through structured attack and consistent defensive pressure.

Girls Competitions

Opens Division 1 – Kinross Wolaroi School 1sts triumphed over Barker College 1sts in a gritty 1-0 encounter, displaying strong teamwork and determination as they managed to gain the upper had and create the decisive attacking play to secure the win.

Opens Division 2 – Scots All Saints College 1sts secured the shield after a tight 5–4 victory over Redlands 1sts, edging ahead in a hard‑fought, high‑skill contest.

Cricket

The 2025/26 ISA Cricket season concluded with two exciting weekends of Semi Finals and Finals, hosted by the top‑ranked schools in each division. Across both Saturdays, players showcased skill, determination, and outstanding sportsmanship as they competed for the coveted Division Shields.

Division 1

St Pius X College 1st XI claimed the Division 1 Shield after a strong and composed performance in the Final, defeating St Patrick’s College 1st XI. This victory capped off an exceptional season for St Pius X, who dropped only one match throughout their entire campaign – a testament to their consistency, depth, and disciplined style of play.

Division 2

In one of the most compelling narrative arcs of the season, St Augustine’s College 2nds XI captured the Division 2 Shield, overcoming Oakhill College 2nds XI in a hard‑fought Final. Remarkably, both teams earned their spots in the championship match by toppling the ladder‑leaders in their respective Semi Finals – an achievement that highlighted their resilience and ability to deliver under pressure.

Summer Tennis

Congratulations to Kinross Wolaroi School who took out the Division 1 competition against Scots All Saints College.

In the Singles Championships, St Stanislaus’ College triumphed over Kinross Wolaroi Schools. While in the Doubles Championships, St Stanislaus’ College backed up their Singles win with a win over Scots All Saints College.

The ISA congratulates all finalists for their spirit, sportsmanship, and excellence throughout the 2025/26 season. With so many memorable match‑ups and a fantastic atmosphere across both weekends, the Finals series was a fitting celebration of school basketball at its best.
