Our ISA Water Polo team proudly represented our member schools at the 18&U Water Polo NSWCIS Trials, held on Wednesday 18 March at Knox Grammar School.
The NSWCIS trials provide an important opportunity to identify the strongest water polo talent across independent schools in NSW. Athletes are assessed on tactical understanding, match performance, and their ability to work cohesively in a team environment. The final squad selected from the trials will go on to represent NSWCIS at an Interstate Exchange, competing against other state and regional representative teams.

Trial Fixtures
Throughout the trial process, the ISA 18&U team contested three competitive fixtures, demonstrating strong determination and teamwork against high‑quality opposition.
The results from the day were:
ISA vs GPS – Loss 4–12
ISA vs CAS – Loss 8–15
ISA vs Barbarian AICES/CSSA – Win 11–8
Despite two early losses, the ISA team rallied with an impressive performance in their final match, securing a well‑deserved win. The athletes displayed resilience, skill development, and a commitment to representing ISA with pride.

NSWCIS Team Selection
ISA is pleased to acknowledge the outstanding individual achievement of George M (St Andrew’s Cathedral School), who was selected to the 18&U NSWCIS Water Polo Team at the conclusion of the trials. This is a significant accomplishment and reflects George’s strong performance and consistency throughout the day.
ISA congratulates all participating athletes for their sportsmanship, effort, and commitment. Representing ISA at a CIS trial is a notable achievement in itself, and we commend the team for their determination and positive attitude throughout each fixture.
We look forward to supporting George and celebrating the continued development of Water Polo across ISA schools.
