The 2026 ISA Netball representative program once again highlighted the strength and growth of netball across ISA schools, with increased trial nominations, strong championship performances, and a number of athletes earning selection at NSWCIS and NSW All Schools level.
ISA Representative Trials and Teams
ISA trials were held at Barker College, attracting 35 nominations in the 19 Years & Under age group and 31 nominations in the 15 Years & Under age group. Convenors noted a continued increase in participation and a significant rise in the standard of play across both age groups, creating fierce competition for representative positions.
The selection process involved warm-ups, skill-specific drills and a series of trial matches designed to give players opportunities across their preferred positions while mixing athletes from different schools. Following multiple rounds of games, selectors identified possible and probable squads before final teams were announced.
The selected teams reflected excellent representation from across the association, with athletes drawn from four ISA schools in the 19 Years & Under team and eight ISA schools in the 15 Years & Under team.
NSWCIS Championships
The ISA 15 Years & Under and 19 Years & Under teams competed at the CIS Netball Championships at Netball Central in May. Both teams produced impressive performances throughout the day.

Amaali went on to earn selection in the NSW All Schools Team following trials, a significant achievement and recognition of her outstanding season.
Staff Representative Honours
Mrs. Virginia Welsh (Barker College) was selected as Coach of the NSW All Schools 15 Years & Under program.

The success of the representative season would not have been possible without the dedication of selectors, coaches, managers and host venues. ISA extends its sincere thanks to all selectors who assisted throughout the trial and championship process.
Special thanks are also extended to the coaching and management teams who supported athletes throughout the season, and to Barker College for their hospitality during the trials and for providing facilities for ISA training sessions.
The 2026 season was another strong chapter for ISA Netball, reflecting the growth of the sport across member schools and providing outstanding opportunities for student-athletes to pursue representative honours at the highest school sport levels.
