On behalf of the Independent Sporting Association, the ISA Board is delighted to welcome all member schools, players, staff, families, and supporters to the 2025 ISA Semi Finals and Finals.
These events are a true celebration of school sport and the spirit of our Association. They reflect the incredible collaboration across our schools, and we commend the Heads of Sport, Convenors, and Staff for their unwavering dedication throughout the season.
We extend a sincere thank you to our generous hosts. Your support, hospitality, and commitment to school sport have been crucial in making today’s event possible.

| Extra Time | For all Divisions – If there is no result at the end of the match, a player drop-off system will occur. (NB: Golden goal for drop-offs and subs are allowed during this time).
Play will occur as follows: Without swapping ends, a 2-minute break, followed by a 7-minute half with 9 players. 1-minute half time, teams swap ends, followed by a 7-minute half with 7 players. If still a draw at the completion of the drop-off, teams will be awarded joint premiers. |

| Extra Time | In Semi-Finals and Finals there must be a winner, hence:
If there is a draw in semi-finals or finals, a two (2) minute interval shall be taken. During the interval the score will be verified and the teams change ends. During the interval there may be substitutions and/or team changes. The umpire will indicate which team has the next centre pass and play will commence. Then two (2) five minute halves will be played to determine a winner. After the first five (5) minutes the teams will change ends. No substitutions or positional changes shall be allowed during the change of ends.
If still a draw at the end of the second five (5) minutes, a visual signal will indicate that play continues and the first team to score a two (2) goal advantage shall be declared the winner. Rolling subs may be used in this timeframe |

| Extra Time | Should a semi-final or finals game be drawn at fulltime, 5 minutes each way of extra time will be played. The following will occur. A 2-minute break, change ends, 5 minutes extra time. Then no break, swap ends and 5 minutes more extra time.
If a semi-final game is drawn at the end of 2 x 5 minutes extra time, the team that finished highest on the points table will go through to the final. Should a final game still be drawn at the end of 2 x 5 minutes extra time, the team that scored the greater number of tries will be declared the winner. If tries are equal the teams shall be declared joint winners. |
