2024 ISA Representative – Opens Rugby
ISA was represented by two Opens Rugby teams at the NSWRU Trials, across Thursday 27th and Friday 28th June hosted by St Joseph’s College, Hunters Hill and Knox Grammar School respectively. In the lead up to the 2-day tournament, both teams participated in a camp to ensure they were best prepared for the competition.
Both teams competed in three games against their respective opposition, performing strongly across both days. This resulted in a number of students being selected to NSW Schools teams that competed at the ASRU Championships on the Sunshine Coast during the July holidays. Congratulations to those students who were part of the NSW Schools II team who were crowned 2024 ASRU Champions.
Following on from the ASRU Championships, four ISA school students were selected to the 2024 Australian Schools Rugby team.
In addition, St Augustine’s College had 1 student named to the Australian Under 18 Development Squad.
Congratulations to all students involved, and a big thank you to the coaching staff for their time and effort across the entirety of the program.
