2019 NSWCIS GIRLS FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS

The 2019 NSWCIS Girls Football Championships were played at Valentine Sports Park on Monday 27th and Tuesday 28th May. CIS started the tournament in fine style with a 2-1 win over CHS 2, the goal scorers included ISA girls Jasmine Meli (BAR) & Sabine Montenegro (OAK). Game 2 was a tough affair with CHS 1, with CHS coming away with a 3-1 victory. CIS solitary goal came from ISA girl Kate Stanbridge (RED). Game 3 was a very competitive match with CCC. The game could have gone either way but in the end CCC scored a late goal to give them a 2-1 victory. Finishing in 3rd place overall for the Tournament, the team should feel very proud of themselves. ISA player Scarlett Thomas (RED) made the NSW squad, with Sabine Montenegro (OAK) making the NSW shadow list. We wish the team the very best when they represent their state at the School Sport Australia Championships later this year,
